I'm Alex, a home organizer who works with Lafayette clients one-on-one. I also knit and sew, so I understand the joy of a good stash and the guilt of a bigger one.

Creative people often struggle with organizing because their things matter. Yarn, fabric, paint, tools, books, and supplies aren't clutter to you. They're possibilities. But when it all lives in bins you can't see into, the possibilities start to feel like pressure.

My approach is about making your materials visible and easy to reach, so you can use them, not just store them. We give your projects a real home, decide what belongs in the "someday" pile, and protect the space you need to make things.

Older homes, smaller storage

Many Lafayette homes, especially the older cottages and bungalows around the historic areas, weren't built with modern storage in mind. Small closets and limited cabinet space are common. I work with what you have, and we get creative before you spend money on anything new.

How it works

I start with a free 20-minute virtual consultation. You tell me what's overwhelming and what you'd love to make room for. Sessions have a three-hour minimum, and we go at your pace. I never push you to let go of something you're not ready to release. We'll set up a "not yet" spot for those items instead.

Questions

I'm a maker with a lot of supplies. Will you make me get rid of everything?
Not at all. My goal is to help you find what you have and use it, not to strip your space down. Some things do leave, but always your decision.

Can you help if I work from home?
Yes. Many of my clients work from home, and we'll build your workspace so it doesn't take over the rest of the house.
